Konrad Dobrski’s (1849-1915) appeal on additional training in otiatrics and laryngology
Andrzej Kierzek

This paper presents the open letter of Konrad Dobrski (1849-
1915), a well-known Warsaw doctor, on additional training of
physicians in otiatrics and laryngology. The proposals of Wacław
Mayzel, Henryk Fryderyk Hoyer and Feliks Nawrocki to train
physicians in basic fields of medicine is described in short. The
activity of Alfred Marcin Sokołowski (1849-1924) in clandestine
training of young physicians at the Department of Internal
Medicine and laryngological out-patient ward of the Holy Spirit
Hospital in Warsaw is finally presented.
